Kendra Clemons is a native Houstonian, and second generation lawyer who has a passion for problem-solving, and for helping entrepreneurs, creatives and innovators establish their businesses and build relationships that can enable them to thrive.

I've been drafting, negotiating and managing domestic and international corporate contracts since 2000.   I managed the Procurement and Contracts program for a technology and venture capital division within Chevron U.S.A. I also served as the Export Compliance Officer and IP Manager.

Prior to that, I negotiated sales and service contracts for technology and software companies (often with engineering and construction components) with customers in various industries, including oil & gas, pulp & paper, pharmaceuticals, energy  and food production.

I have extensive government contracting experience, including with federal, municipal and foreign governments.  I have worked with software licensing agreements and intellectual property indemnities, non-disclosure agreements, international distributor agreements, sales representative agreements and subcontracts.  I have worked with cross-functional teams to develop proposals in response to RFPs (identifying risks in terms, scopes of work, and pricing structures) and to identify mitigation of risks.

Prior to transitioning to a corporate position, I contracted with various law firms in Washington, D.C. , working on anti-trust litigation and mergers and acquisitions, including the mergers which created ExxonMobil and Verizon.
